Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 August 2026
These terms govern your use of Kyasti websites, apps, and services — including browsing, bookings, DigiLocker KYC, and partner tools. By creating an account or using Kyasti, you agree to them.
The service
Kyasti is a software-as-a-service platform. We help people discover and book PG, hostels, rooms, and flexible homes with clear rent, manage stays and support tickets, and we provide operations tools to independent landlords and property operators. Tenant bookings on Kyasti are zero brokerage unless a listing expressly states otherwise. Features may vary by city, property, and account type. Unless a separate written agreement says Kyasti itself lets or occupies a premises, we are not the landlord, hostel operator, or occupier of properties managed in the software.
Eligibility and accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your phone number and profile up to date. Sign-in is typically via one-time codes sent to your phone — you are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping that phone secure. Notify us if you believe your account was used without permission.
Bookings and stays
When you book or inquire through Kyasti:
- Listing details, rent, deposits, and house rules shown at booking apply unless a written agreement says otherwise
- Some stays require DigiLocker KYC, deposits, police/verification forms, or staff confirmation before they become final
- You agree to pay dues on time and follow property rules during your stay
- Co-occupants you add must use a valid phone number; they may need to sign in and complete verification for the stay
- Cancellations, move-outs, and refunds follow the policy shown for that booking or as agreed with the property operator
Payments
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers (for example UPI or cards via our payment partner). You authorize charges for rent, deposits, fees, and other amounts you approve in checkout. Failed or disputed payments may affect booking status. Kyasti does not store full card numbers on its servers.
Landlords, vendors, and enquiries
Landlord and vendor accounts are for legitimate property or service work. You agree not to misuse leads, tenant data, or tickets, and to complete assigned work professionally. If you submit a landlord or partner enquiry form, you consent to Kyasti contacting you about software, leasing, or partnership options using the details you provide. Commercial terms for SaaS, leases, or vendor jobs may be set out separately.
Property operators and local compliance
If you use Kyasti to manage a PG, hostel, or similar lodging business, you are the person who lets the premises. Local laws and police or municipal orders (including tenant, PG, or hostel intimation where they apply) bind you, not Kyasti as the software provider.
Police verification in Kyasti is an optional operations workflow. Turning it on or off only controls whether the software collects and prints a verification packet. It does not waive, cancel, or satisfy any legal duty, and Kyasti does not certify that verification is or is not required for your city or property. You remain solely responsible for determining what local intimation is required and for completing it outside or inside the product.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse Kyasti: no unlawful activity, no scraping or interfering with the platform, no fake listings or reviews, and no harassment of tenants, staff, landlords, or vendors. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.
Content and availability
Listings and availability can change. We aim for accurate information but do not guarantee that every listing detail is error-free. Software is provided on an “as available” basis; we may update or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practical.
Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Kyasti is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from stays, vendor work, DigiLocker or payment partners, or other third-party services. Kyasti is not liable for a property operator’s decision to skip police verification in the software, or for any failure to complete local police, municipal, or tenant intimation. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer law that cannot be waived.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections. We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
